We will travel to your home, measure the area you would like to cover, we will provide you with many samples that you may choose from. Things you should know before your installation
Carpet
If you are having carpet installed you should move all the furniture from the areas that you are having carpet installed,unless you have contracted Michael's Floor Coverings to move it for you. In that case relax, we'll move it.
You should also make sure to have all items that are on the closet floor, up and out of the way. At least 3 Ft off the ground.
It is also a good ideal to remove any pictures and small nix nacks off the wall or shelfs prior to your installation. You may want to vacum your carpet before your installation as this will help keep the dust down.
Vinyl
All the above applies for vinyl as well. You will want to move appliances. Unless you have contracted Michaels Floor Coverings to move them for you. It is best just to let us move them for you. You will not have to worry about ripping or tearing your new vinyl floor.You should wait at lease 24 to 36 hours before you move your appliance on to vinyl. If you do choose to move them yourself, you should know this. Never roll or try to move a heavy appliance on freshly installed vinyl, as this will cause wheel marks in your floor that will not come out. Or worse, you will tear it. Always use some type of plywood (luan works best) to roll heavy appliances on.
